Emma Legault, EIT – Staff Engineer
As a lifelong learner and lover of all things outdoors, Emma has always been seeking to get her daily “outside time,” whether that be jumping off rope swings into rivers or hiking through the forests of Oregon where she grew up. Emma graduated from Oregon State University with an honors degree in Ecological Engineering and minor in French. Throughout her time at Oregon State, she’s always found a way to tie in rivers, whether that was conducting Stage 0 field research or analyzing large wood restoration work done by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, showcasing her dedication to this niche field of river restoration engineering from the start. As a new graduate, she is excited to utilize her skills like HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, Civil 3D, and technical writing to propel herself into her new career post-graduation at Rio ASE.
In her free time, you’ll likely catch her frolicking in the river, catching crawdads, and looking for the perfect rock to skip. Otherwise, she likes to spend her time trying new hobbies like kickboxing and learning Russian.
