Will Burkhart, PE – Staff Engineer
Will is a water resources engineer with a degree in ecological engineering and a background in river restoration, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and constructed wetland design across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West regions. Over the past five years, he has worked on an extensive range of projects including urban riverbank stabilization, dam removal design, sediment transport analysis, watershed restoration master planning, and green stormwater design. Will values immersing himself in individual project and client needs to create holistic designs that meet stakeholder expectations and allow for natural processes to flourish. Along with his design experience, he is a licensed UAS pilot and proficient with a variety of programs including Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and PCSWMM.
Will’s lifelong love of the PNW, with its stunning rivers and diverse ecosystems, has led him to spend most of his free time exploring the outdoors and embracing all that it has to offer. When not in the office, Will can be found backpacking or snowboarding in the mountains, rock climbing, biking, or generally near a body of water large enough to swim and fish in!
